Dear friends,
It has been a while, and I hope you are all doing amazingly well. One thing I have been able to understand in the last few weeks is the importance of a good network but more of that in the future.

Adding product photography to my list of skills and it has been a great learning curve.

I’m pleased to share another recent web editorial from a press opportunity last week. I took a screenshot of my phone from LinkedIn. The Stage is a British weekly newspaper and website covering the entertainment industry and particularly theatre. It was founded in 1880. It contains news, reviews, opinion, features, and recruitment advertising, mainly directed at those who work in theatre and the performing arts.
Press opportunities aren't something I have been able to fulfil in the past. And since moving back to the capital, I have had a few job enquiries.
It's worth saying that the combination of all of my experiences prepared me for this photo opportunity. I literally had 2 minutes to make this photograph, and it was easy. Experience has taught me the importance of channelling poise and calm as it can be infectious when there is tension and chaos.
The biggest challenge on the day was the indecisive UK weather. It started off as a cloudy day. Then it became sunny later in the morning. And then, the sun kept going in and out, making metering for a decent exposure tricky.
I arrived early to do a decent recce of the venue, located a couple of suitable locations, assessed the amount of available light, and the amount of moving and reorganisation required.
You might ask, how long do you need to take a photograph? And I would say, at the level where you are taking portraits of leadership teams, not long. A lot of them don’t like the idea of it but understand the overriding reason.
Two minutes to seat, arranging my composition, ten frames, and two decent photographs.
